Its central location, excellent bedroom and pleasant staff.
The room fire alarm went off twice during the night without any intervention by me.
Very large rooms, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is a great place to stay in the middle of galway city. Buffet breakfast room was spacious, with a great variety of cereals, cold meats, yogurts, fruit, juices, bread, bagels, tea, coffee juice available. Much better than expected.
A bit over-priced at 100 euro per night, and probably well above average for the country overall.
The bakfast was very poor
I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at The Imperial Hotel, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and extremely accomodating. I will definitely return, excellent location and hair salon adjacent to hotel offers discount to hotel residents.
Excellent location. Clean comfortable room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very accommodating breakfast availability times and good selection of food on offer for the continental breakfast included in the room price.
No view from room but that was probably compensated for by the absence of noise from the square.
I stayed at the imperial for a weekend with my mother and sister. Its ideally located for shopping and eating out so the location was a winner for us. It's cheap and cheerful.
No full breakfast only continental (fresh boiled eggs also but were hard!) If you book a meal in the deal, its served in the bar, there's no restaurant. However it was our second time there so we knew what to expect.
Right on Eyre Square, excellent location, nice staff
Kettle and tv broken in the room brought this to the attention of reception but nothing was done about it, wasnt using either so it didnt matter too much. Otherwise the room was grand
Got no sleep on the Saturday night room must have been right next to nightclub. Also doors kept banging all night. There was a party in the next room which went on all night. Walls are paper thin could hear everything.was so disappointed because there was fab 4 star hotels much cheaper but went with this because of location. Would not stay there again!
staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel's location was ideal for our stay
could do with a good irish breakfast instead of the continental one
The location was great for shopping and sightseeing in the city
Reception area - it is quite small and needs updating
Comfort/cleanliness/breakfast served extended hours/great selection/friendly staff.
Noisy room at back/adjacent to bar/bottle bank etc.
The hotel itself was nice and couldn't be closer to the town which was great but not so great in the early hours when noisy stragglers heading home :)
But of entertainment in the bar would be great!
The check-in staff were efficient and courteous and the bar staff patient in the late-night residents' bar.
The breakfast was very poor and a complete pan of brown sliced bread was mouldy, every slice.
The location is excellent, the rooms were clean and spacious, the hotel bar was also good.
The staff at reception weren't welcoming, they also double charged us for the room at checkout.
Very nice pubs with fresh beer! Small city, everything with in walking distance.
